Remember.....Field Trips

Remember, tomorrow, May 24th we have a walking field trip to some places downtown as part of our communities social studies curriculum.  Wednesday is our all day field trip to USU and Willow Park.  Please remind your child to dress appropriately for the weather.  A jacket, good walking shoes, and an umbrella might be a good idea.  Tuesdays field trip will not involve lunch outside of school, we will be back before lunch.  Wednesday make sure if your child signed up for lunch from home that they bring their cold lunch.  I sure do enjoy this awesome group of kids!  I can't believe today is the last Monday of school this year!  Have a great Memorial Day weekend!

Field Trips

Next Tuesday morning, the 24th, our class will be going on a walking field trip to some places of interest in our community as part of our social studies core.  I am not sure what the weather will be like, so please make sure your child brings a jacket, and possibly an umbrella!  We will be back to the school well before lunch time, so it should not affect if your child eats school lunch.  Wednesday, the 25th, is our field trip for all day with our grade level over to Logan.  Same story....make sure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.....or maybe we should have all the kids bring an ark!  This is such a fantastic group of children.  Thanks for sharing them with me this year!

Books

The end of the school year is fast approaching!  I have a favor to ask.  Could you please check through your home, car, backpacks, etc. and begin collecting and returning books that belong to me, the school, or the bookmobile? We need to start getting things squared away for the year.  I have had a fantastic year with this group of kids.  You should be very proud as parents of how well you have raised these students.  They are a very respectful, fun group of children.  Thanks for all you do!

Typo!!

I made a typo on the note home asking if parents wanted to come on the field trip.  On the top of the note, the field trip date is correct.....it is May 25th.  On the bottom part of the note, where you sign, I made a mistake and put the 18th.  I have instructed the kids to let you know the 25th is the correct date, and I am sorry for my mistake.

Field Trip!

We found out recently that the PTA was generous enough to donate money for our grade level to go on a field trip.  We had thought all year that this was not going to be a possibility, so we were pleasantly surprised.  We are going to have our field trip on Wednesday, May 25th.  We are going to be going to the USU campus to a museum and to have some other activities.  We will end up at Willow Park for lunch and a quick visit to the zoo. I am sending home permission slips with the lunch count note today.  Please get it returned as soon as possible so we can give the count to the cooks.  Today we counted up how many school days are left....only 18!  This year has literally flown past!  What a great class I have...I guess that is why time has flown....because we have had such fun!

April Reading Reward Winners

I know this is a horrible picture.  I didn't realize my battery was dead on my camera.  So, the second I could finally could get it to power up, I had to snap.  I kept trying to get another one, but this one took the last of the juice from my camera!  They are still cute kiddos though!  I am proud of them for doing all of their reading for the month of April!  Thanks room moms for the nice luncheon, poster, and shirt for teacher appreciation week!  You are awesome!

Help with Puppets!

Hey parents!
Our class is going to have an opportunity to make puppets with help from the Brigham City Fine Arts Center.  We will be making the puppets on Thursday, May 19th from 12:45 to about 2:45.  If you have time and could come and help, please send a note with your child to school or give me a call!  Thanks!
