April 26th- School Play- April Pro Winners

Today our school performed the play, "Peter Pan".  It as fabulous.  The cutest mermaid in the play was from our class.

These three cute indians are from our class.

And these two lost boys are also from our class.  The play was AMAZING!!  Great job kids!

After the play, they gave out awards to the top pro winners.  These two students from our class won the April honors.

April 25th

 April 25th is my birthday.  Imagine my surprise when I arrived at school to see every entrance to the building announcing it was my birthday!!

 Then, right inside the door, one of my students stood with these cute balloons.

Another student had  a beautiful plant waiting for me.

One of my cute students made me this necklace.  Around 11:30, my husband arrived with cupcakes for my class (and the kids sang "Happy Birthday" to me a second time.

At the end of the day, two of my room moms appeared with cupcakes for the class, and I was sung to a third time.  They also made me this adorable snickers cake...yum!

Then another student came bringing this huge balloon and snickers ice cream bars.  Let me tell you....birthdays usually are not usually this fun when you get to be my age...but with this sweet class....it was a fabulous day!!

March Pro Winners

Two of our class students were chosen as pro winners in the month of March....I am a little late getting this post on!

Core Tests Begin Monday!

Third grade begins our Utah core tests on Monday morning.  We will continue taking our tests through Friday.  Please make sure your child get enough rest each night and eats a good breakfast.  We want the students to be able to show us what they know!  Remember to have your student do some practice problems on the website:

Please give your child a few subtraction problems (preferably 4 or 5 digits in length) that require regrouping and see if he/she can do them.  I have many students that are still struggling with this concept.


I can't believe how fast the year has flown by.  I have sure loved having this group of kids this year!

Teacher Evaluation

Thank you so much for the positive comments you took the time to write on my evaluation that was turned in to Mr. Chadaz.  I love my class this year....and I am sure why I have such amazing students is because they have such caring, kind, and positive role models as thier parents.  Thank you so much!

Field Trip

Our third grade field trip is going to be on May 23rd.  We will be going to Logan to visit Willow Park to look at some of the habitats of animals there, and then going to the Logan swimming pool.  I sent home permission slips for your student last Friday (blue note).  I know this seems early, but our cooks have to have their food order in before May for the end of the school year and we need to give them a count.  Please get the permission slips returned as soon as possible. 

We will have room for some parents to come and volunteer to help us.  If you would like to attend, please send me a note to let me know.  If you would like the school to pack you a lunch, you will need to contact the office soon to order and pay for it.  I can't believe how fast the time is flying by!

Easter Crafts

Wednesday afternoon before the break for Easter, the third grade rotated classes and made some fun crafts.  In our room, we dyed eggs and made these cute feathered friends.  In Mrs. Bingham's room they made some bunny boxes, in Mrs. Bitton's room they took one of the eggs they dyed and made some snorkeling eggs, and in Mr. Richards' room they played some games.  It was a lot of fun.  I appreciate Mrs. Russell helping in our room.  After dying 180 eggs, I was exhausted!  I was so grateful that she was there to man the glue guns and help the kids.  I had taken a bunch more photos, but somehow erased them off my camera!  Ergh!

Whichever of my cute students brought the darling Easter basket and note to my house and left it on my porch...thank you so much!  You made my night!  I really appreciate it!

Room Mom Easter Party

The kids had so much fun at our Easter room mom party.  We are very thankful that Mrs. Kay, Mrs. Lish, and Mrs. Jones went to so much work to make it successful!
