FYI..this Friday is the last day of the PTA fundraiser.  Remember, our class is trying to have the most participation so that we can earn some PE equipment.  Even a small donation (any change around the house) would be appreciated and count as participating.

This Monday, September 24th, our grade level will begin our guided reading program.  It starts promptly at 8:30 a.m.  We have had some difficulty in our class with attendance and tardies.  This has me worried as we start guided reading.  Each child has 1/2 hour of instructional time during the guided reading hour, and I don't want any of that to be wasted.  Please help your child to be prompt.

Our class is doing much better as a whole with not having missing work.  Remember that each Friday we will have a "No missing work activity" and a note will be sent home in the green folder for you to sign.  Thanks so much for your support.

Fundraiser

This year the PTA is sponsoring a walk-a-thon.  The children bring in pledges and walk laps at the track at the high school.  The first amount of money the child brings in (no matter how small) earns the students a duck key chain.  The kids love these ducks!  The class with the most participation bringing in pledges wins some equipment to use on the playground.  We could really use some new PE equipment.  Even if you do not want to do the fundraiser and walk at the walk-a-thon, please let your child bring in even a nickel with the coupon for a first pledge so we can have the entire class participating!  Thanks for your support.
